Francis MACARY

Francis Macary is an Agronomist, PhD in Environmental Sciences; Researcher at Bordeaux Center of the National Research Institute of Sciences and Technologies for the Environment and Agriculture (Irstea). His principal research topic concerns the environmental performances assessment of agriculture, in relation with natural resources. They are focusing on the transfers of nitrogen, pesticides and total suspended solids to surface waters. He uses Geographic Information Systems and also the multicriteria modelling for decision aiding in the public environmental policies, at several spatial scales. He is a member of specialists of the French Ministry of Agriculture. He has participated in several national and European research projects.
