Etienne Vermeirssen

Dr. Etienne Vermeirssen is group leader of the Aquatic Ecotoxicology team of the Swiss Centre for Applied Ecotoxicology Eawag-EPFL. His research interests are passive sampling of organic contaminants and combining passive sampling with effect-based tools. Previously he worked at the Max-Planck-Institute for Ornithology (Germany) on sperm competition in birds. He did a PhD and post-doc at the Centre for Environment Fisheries and Aquaculture Science and the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom) on reproductive physiology in fish.
