Denis Salles is Research Director at IRSTEA (National Research Institute of Science and Technology for Environment and Agriculture) in unity "Amenities and Dynamics of Rural Areas" in Bordeaux Centre. He is in charge of the Chair of Excellence Aquitaine since 2009. He conducts research in environmental sociology and public policy that focuses on how societies adapt to the impacts of global change (www.adapteau.fr), modes of water governance, measures to increase users accountability, participatory sciences devices.
