Last update Tuesday 10 May 2016

Senior research scientist in Irstea (French National Research Institute in Sciences and Technologies for Environment and Agriculture), head of Aquatic Ecosystems and global Changes research unit in Bordeaux.

My researches are in fish ecology and biological conservation with a focus on diadromous migratory species in temperate regions. I am especially interested in the adaptation processes at different levels of organization (from individual to ecosystems) including the interactions with human activities. I focus my works on the ecological responses to temperature, oxygenation, fragmentation of  habitats and more recently contamination. I am involved in several fish recovery plans and I coordinate researches to support the European sturgeon action plan.
