Climate change impacts on forests: Model Projections, Uncertainties and the Quest for Resilience - Christopher Reyer

Last update Thursday 19 March 2015

The presentations provides an overview of climate change impacts on forests as part of changing social and environmental conditions. Model projections of future climate impacts on forests suffer from an explosion of uncertainty along a cascade of uncertainties which challenges the ways how scientists can inform forests stakeholders. These uncertainties hamper successful adaptation of forest management to climate change. A resilience perspective as well as an integration of scientific findings from experiments, observation and models will help to secure forest ecosystem functions and services.
