Frédéric Barraquand

Last update Wednesday 23 March 2016

Frédéric is researcher at the University of Bordeaux, in the Theoretical and Integrative Ecology chair of the Labex COTE. He works on population dynamics and community ecology, using statistical and theoretical models. Current research threads include what generates high-amplitude fluctuations in animal or plant numbers, how is biodiversity maintained despite competition (and how to measure that biodiversity), as well as how to best predict the response of webs of interacting species to environmental changes.
