Marie-Hélène Dévier (PhD in Analytical Chemistry and Environment) is associated professor since 2006 at the university of Bordeaux in the LPTC (Laboratory of Physico and Toxico Chemistry of the environment) which is a research group of the EPOC Research Unit (CNRS - university of Bordeaux). She teaches courses in analytical chemistry, metrology, and environment at the University Institute of Technology. Her current research concerns the development of bioanalytical approaches aiming at identifying new toxic organic pollutants in the environment and establishing a link between presence and biological effect (effect-directed analysis, EDA) ; in a more global way, she develops innovative combined approaches for the identification of potentially problematic organic compounds using characterization without a priori (EDA), passive samplers and non-targeted screening by high resolution mass spectrometry.
